I have been an avid reader since I could first string words together to make coherent sentences. I started writing not long after that. Books have meant a lot to me forever and I can’t imagine doing anything other with my spare time than criticizing and judging (and, occasionally, praising) every book I possibly can.
I love open discussions with people who have differing opinions to me, especially when it comes to books. Don’t be afraid to disagree with any and all of my opinions, but also don’t be afraid to voice your own!
I enjoy books of all kinds, from popular YA to unknown thrift store gems. Hopefully, you will all find something to read that you enjoy. My hope is that you find common ground in opinions between me or others, find a new plethora of books to your TBR pile (even though I know that it is already 100 books long), some new playlists to listen to while you read, and other such miscellaneous things.
Aside from reading, writing, reviewing, and editing books, I have many other passions. I am currently a student at a four-year college and studying Geoscience, hoping to go into Library or Museum Science, paleontology, or archeology/anthropology. I love anything Ancient, especially Ancient Europe, Middle East, and Northern Africa (Egypt specifically).
I also love the performing arts. Dance and Theater are my main things. I did both for three years in high school and intend to carry on during college and beyond. I have performed theatrically in shows such as “The Crucible”, “Wait Until Dark”, and “Three Musketeers”, to name a few of my favorites. For the last two years of dance, I have choreographed dance pieces (both group and solos) to songs such as “Praying” by Kesha, “Castle” by Halsey, and “The Devil Within” by the Digital Daggers.
Art isn’t exactly my forte, but I dabble here and there in painting and drawing. I am in no way, shape, or form good at either but I really just enjoy doing it. (Pro tip: You don’t have to be good at something to enjoy it. This is a lesson it took me about a thousand years to learn.)
The exercise I generally partake in other than dance is climbing. It may seem strange, but I’ve always been pretty decent at scrambling my way up surfaces like trees, buildings, rocks, and other such things.
I love animals. I have an adorable little dog, Huck, and an obnoxious little boy, Rhodey. My family and I have been a foster family for a while now and, in the most recent years, have successfully adopted out 10 kitties and had a “failed foster” with one (my little kitty, Rhodey).
I hope this short(ish) bio of myself gives you a little bit of insight into who I am and I hope that you find something you relate to! Feel free to comment on anything and everything you desire!
I hope you enjoy your stay!
